I have installed Access 6.1 on the 64-bit Ultimate 7 I'm running - no problem, but I forget things like this in the same way, perhaps, that women forget labor pains when the baby has finally arrived.

As to the emulator, I don't use the one in Access - I use the Personal Communications one that the Access ones are based on. I'm running 6.0 of PCOMM, and it has features that I saw in an Access 7.1 version at COMMON last year. There's a quick-connect bar that is really irritating - as in, if it is visible and you look under the View menu, it is not checked - so to hide it, I click on its name, as if to select it - but it goes away. Weird!!! Hey, I'm almost drinking the M$ koolaid where you just put up with, right? Sheesh!

In the emulator session, Help -> About Personal Communications shows version 5.9 in the V6R1 version. I believe the V5R4 version showed 5.8. I don't have the newer version to confirm what it shows, though it may be on wiki.midrange.com

32- or 64-bit version. There has been some discussion on the WDSc List that, I think, it has to be installed under an Admin profile on the PC if installing on a 64-bit version of Win7.



I haven't found anything in the archives along the same lines regarding iSeries Access. Does anyone one of anything that I need to do and/or be aware of if installing to the 64-bit version of Win7?
