Rob, you are correct, I replied too soon. We had decided to shut down all that web admin stuff a while ago, we turn it on once a while.

I think you're on V5R4 or earlier. It's different on newer releases. Yes, it still controls the http configuration, but that's just a subset of what it now does. It's like a web interface to iNav. Theory is that IBM will be putting more into it also.
If you just want to do HTTPAdmin then add that to the url like you did.
But if you want the full shebang, leave that off.

I usually have the web interface turned off, unless I want to configure or
manage something on the IBMi:
ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
