Has anyone actually been able to figure out how to install the most current version of WAS Express 8.0 on their iSeries 6.1.1 system?

Apparently it isn't installed through the RSTLICPGM process anymore. You have to download an "Installation Manager" application to the iSeries, and use it in conjunction with some type of "repository" and all of this is done from the command line (QSHELL is guess...)

I start down through the installation documentation I was able to find and end up nested 8 deep in links and all I see is information for UNIX and Windows installs ....

I'm going crazy here.

Can anyone point me to a list of steps that need to be performed to install WAS on an iSeries that isn't cluttered with how to install it on EVERYTHING else?

Oh yea .... I also need to install the latest WDS client software on my PC, I guess IBM has renamed it to "Rational Developer for Power" ... I can't even find anyone who can tell me if this is something I have to purchase via "Passport Advantage" or what. Any clues on how to get this product installed would be greatly appreciated too.

Hopefully there is someone in our community who has been down this road before.

Thanx in advance for your help.

Kenneth
