Our Windows IDs use an altogether different naming convention based upon
last names; so none of them match the system i user profiles, which are
based upon first names. (It's been that way for 20 years or so.)

My connection is set to: Use default user ID, prompt as needed.

System prompts some users, but not others.

Thanks,

Bryan

Ok, let's try this. In iNav go into My Connections. Pick the system
name
and right click on it. Select Properties. On the Connection tab I use
"Use Windows user name and password, no prompting". Hopefully you don't

have "Prompt every time" selected.

My i user id/password = Windows user id/password

The black helicopters crowd think that's a bad idea as the i has lousy
security and it just exposes your windows to attack. (ok, wipe the spit
off of your screen, I'm kidding, no, I'm not. If we don't secure 5250
with ssl then a simple scan of comm will now tell everyone my windows
user
id and password {but the case will be different}). We use Tivoli
Identity
Manager to keep them in sync.
