Hi,

How can I find what are command line options of /usr/sbin/syslogd .
I did not find it in the web.
When I try to run from PASE command line I get the options but no explanation:
$
/usr/sbin/syslogd -h
/usr/sbin/syslogd: Not a recognized flag: h
usage: syslogd [-d] [-s] [-n] [-N] [-r] [-m markinterval] [-p path] [-f conffile] [-M all]

There is an IBM i Technote here:

https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas1f36dc2603cb61a7e8625757c005b2cbc

But it looks like the referenced links into the AIX Information Center are broken...

This seems like the current link:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/aix/v6r1/topic/com.ibm.aix.cmds/doc/aixcmds5/syslogd.htm

Specific to IBM i PASE syslogd, be careful regarding the location and format of the configuration file syslog.conf -- for IBM i PASE syslogd syslog.conf should be ASCII with *IX (not Windows) line terminations and located as /QOpenSys/etc/syslog.conf
