And there are few reasons to do so. Usually the DB connection is the only reason to authenticate against the i. Not sure many applications need the full set of authorization management that authentication against the OS would deliver. Plus, it would be a bit of a challenge to manage.

This is a good design reminder Nathan. Web applications deliver quite a bit of flexibility in this respect.
