Around Thanksgiving last year (before I started here) they had the 2nd drive
of a mirrored set fall over dead. Of course, the system was probably
sending error messages but no one was monitoring the message queues (QSYSOPR
and QSYSMSG). The queues were, however, getting cleared by the CleanUp
function.

I guess it just depends upon what's important to you. .-)

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

True, but the storage limit threshold, CPI099C, is only severity 90.

:)

Severity level 99 seems kinda reasonable. I want those "change forms"
messages attended to asap.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on my list.

Same here. V5R4.

Can anyone tell me the severity level of CPA3394 in QSYS/QCPFMSG?

Mine is severity 99, which I think is awfully high for a "change forms
on
the printer" message. I don't remember changing it, however.

Thanks.
