We don't have an exit pgm for deletions and I reviewed the security tab for the drive and the screen shows checks under the word allow for;

full control
modify
read & execute
read
write

The only permission that the user doesn't have allow checked is Special permissions.

Subject: RE: Unable to delete from the IFS on Windows 7, OS level V6R1

Hi Frank,
Maybe an odd question but what privileges does the share show the user having?
ne would expect it to be the same given it is the same user but who knows,
aybe there's a difference.
Also, is there an exit program in place that could be preventing deletion?
Gary

i Folks, I have a user who can delete a file in an IFS directory via green creen
ut is unable to delete the file from the same directory via a mapped rive. The
creen says;
ou need permission to perform this action
hen right below it another msg saying
ou require permission from S-1-5-32-544 to make changes to this file
oes anyone know how to resolve this? Is it an issue outside the iSeries?
hanks, Frank
