What size does it report for the memory DIMMs in as in SST? ( STRSST - 1) Start a Service Tool, 7) Hardware Service Manager, 2) Logical Hardware Resources, 3) Main Storage resources.) I have seen more than once where the Feature Code is reported correctly but the size is reported as 0GB. I suspect the actual facts here are that two of the DIMMS are guarded out or otherwise failed. I think this because you have 1.2 GB usable and the 300 GB you expect for the hypervisor would then add up to the 1.5G (Note: 300GB Seems fairly high if you have no other partitions however.)

The OS usually reserves about 300MB of memory for itself. Before installing
the memory, I had about 700MB usable memory in WRKSYSSTS. After installing
the 1Gb additional memory, I have 1.2Gb of memory. I was expecting to see
about 1.8Gb of usable memory. Where has the other 800MB gone?

Can anyone provide any help as to how to get the missing memory?
