That last one has changed with newer options for STRASPBAL.

Absolutely, Rob. The question is, are these SLC drives or MLC? SLC is WAY more long-lived (as much as 30 times or more) than MLC, depending on the MLC implementation. The question is whether IBM's new eMLC design is as reliable as the older SLC design. If your drives are all the new eMLC drives then I would definitely count your installation as a solid positive data point for eMLC.
