Somewhere in the middle there's common ground.

I get the general idea that IBM is a quality company. I also realize that
SSD's have been out for a few years already (even on the i). On the other
hand charging a Monthly Maintenance Charge in addition to already higher
prices for something with less moving parts is a big red flag to me.

I've replaced both HDD's and SSD's. But I've not kept good records like
length of service, disk activity, etc. Who does? And how would one do it
without distracting too much time from what the boss pays you for? Dump
data from performance collection somehow?
