Yep. At least 25% of world hard drive production is off line due to flooding in Thailand I think. I saw pictures of every major HD manufacturers plants with water half way up the doors. Since these are pretty clean facilities (well normally....) they will be off line 6 months or more. Acer says they'll be out of drives for systems this month. Some retailers are saying 'one to a customer'. IBM has indicated "We have backup suppliers but then so do most manufacturers. So we recommend purchasing sooner rather than later." And of course it's 4th quarter.... :-)
