We've been there, but it's been a long time...
Power off all secondaries first.
Then power off your primary.
Then using the option in SST to power up the secondary is a good plan.
I question the wisdom of automatically starting up secondaries when
starting the primary. For example, you are doing an OS upgrade, PTF or
some such thing which may require multiple IPLs. Do you really want to
have to step through powering off the secondaries? Is QPWRRSTIPL such a
good idea? Suppose you are running off of UPS. Your power dies and after
awhile your UPS drains and system powers off. Power comes back and system
reboots. But power dies right away and since UPS is still drained
QUPSDLYTIM cannot be used before battery is drained again and system shuts
down hard.
Granted, you may be the one man shop that wants this to work when you're
back country fishing in Canada so you may decide to risk it and try the
auto stuff, but that's up to your shop. You could always turn it off for
multiple IPLs at that special upgrade/ptf time.
