The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

This may fall in the 'dumb question' category ... but is there a way to do a ALTER TABLE DROP <field> statement without getting an inquiry message that requires a reply?
I've found discussion in the past that describes creating a temporary message file, overriding the message reply, and changing the job to use auto reply.
I'm wondering if there is a way to drop a field without having to go through those steps.
