Hi folks,

I have a most bizarre situation and I'm wondering if anyone can help.
We're using the SNDEMAIL command, which uses QTMMSENDMAIL, to email PDFs from the IFS.
It works fine most of the time but I have trouble with some PDFs every day.

One PDF might have green shading on a part of p1 and pink shading on a part of p5.
Another might be totally illegible.

The PDF is created using software called DCapture Batch 1.7.2.5 with Batch Class Canada_light_prod_V5 and looks fine to the naked eye before being emailed. It just doesn't look fine after being emailed.
If I reprint the before-PDF to a PDF writer to create a new PDF, this will email perfectly fine.
One might then blame the DCapture software but if it looks fine to the naked eye before being emailed, so it seems to me to be a combination of things causing the problem.

Is it possible the SNDEMAILR program from 2009 has a bug when it's converting the data to base64 or elsewhere?
Is it possible the QTMMSENDMAIL has a problem?
Am I using the SNDEMAIL correctly?

Here is the command I am using to email the PDF.
SNDEMAIL ADDRESSEE(('glenn.gundermann@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' 'Glenn Gundermann' *PRI))
SENDER('DoNotReply@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' 'KN eBilling System')
SUBJECT('KN Customs e-Billing: 126800102018#044')
MESSAGE('This is a test @ 12pm')
FILENAME(('/kncfs/access/ebilling/DCP-20110809-115536-544-00006-000.pdf' *BIN))

The code page of the IFS file is 819.
It says the file format is *TYPE2.
I'm using Adobe Reader X v10.1.0 to view the files.

Yours truly,
