It catches up. For example, we bring down GDIHQ2 (Mimix backup for
GDIHQ). We do the full system save, apply cume, etc. Bring it back up
and the remote journal entries start pouring in.

Got to do this stuff often enough so that you remember how it works. We
drop the "2" machine every other month - midweek. That weekend we do a
Mimix switch over to it from the primary and then do the saves and PTF's
on them. Saturday we start the resyncing. Sunday we switch back. Doesn't
take that long to resync. It's just that the users know to plan around
the Friday night drop and the Sunday switch back. Back when we first
started we used to switch back as soon as the resync was done. I remember
doing it just as a few trucks pulled into the loading docks. See why we
switch on a consistent schedule now?
