Hello all...I'm trying to copy files from the IFS to a QNTC share. If I
sign on as a specific user, I have the authority to copy. I'm trying to
use qsyseteuid so I can run the program as any user. I do a WRKJOB and
see this:

Current user profile . . . . . . . . . . . : <special user> Job user
identity . . . . . . . . . . . . . : <special user>
Set by . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *DEFAULT

So I would think that I have the authority, but I get an 'insufficient
authority' message when attempting the copy. Is qsyseteuid not the right
procedure?

Thanks in advance...

We use the profile handle api for this, to adopt a user profile that we
have created specifically for sending and retrieving files from SMB
(windows) shares in network locations. The user has identical credentials
on the i and on the network. It works just fine, as long as we use a real
(or virtual) host name to access the database. We have not gotten it to
work when we attempt to access the NAS device directly, although we
haven't tried that for a number of years.
