FYI

My machine generated two different SRC 509A3002's this weekend. When IBM
first got alerted they saw the one and didn't see the other. At first
they wanted to replace a backplane on a 5886 - a system down fix. A 5886
is a SAS disk cage. We installed several at the same time some time ago.
We had no negative performance impact. Everything was working. When it
was discovered we had two of these and they were on two different strings
of cages coming off of different 572F cards out of the same 5796 they
thought they better take a second look. Later they got back to me.
There's a known APAR out for this. Apparently they farmed out the work on
these and they should be getting a fix from the vendor they will issue as
a PTF sometime in July. There's a ?481? day time out that causes this.

I joked with them that the vendor must have placed a time bomb and perhaps
they should pay them more timely.
