Knowing Rob, I'm betting an HMC. If it's LAN Console, you could just copy/paste the spool file onto your desktop.

Rob. I think your going to have to bring up some services, TCP and spooling. Put in a temp start up program to only start the one writer then drop to restricted state again. You don't have to start any interactive subsystems nor any of the subsystems that actually do batch, just enough to start writers.....
