If I am understanding your requirement correctly, just download the source
code for TN5250J. It does the same thing, by that I mean interpret the 5250
data stream. There are also C I/O functions called DSM (Dynamic Screen )
that allow you to do this. None is this is simple.

Substituting the Display File but retaining the current business logic.
So another program would be on the other side of the buffer, rather than
a display file.

Hi Jason
Can I ask what you are trying to accomplish
I have a routine that captures the screen that the user is seeing, and
also what function key they pressed.
We use this to determine what the user did when they say they are having
problems, but they are not always certain what they just pressed

Subject: Display File I/O Buffer

Has anybody tried to intercept the display file I/O buffer? I am
interested in the process. I know it's accomplished by IBM products, such
as WebFacing, but was wondering if it was possible outside of a specific
product offering.

Thanks,
