If you do install Webmin, be sure you get the latest version and keep a close eye for updates. It has a pretty bad history of security vulnerabilities.

It's been a few years since I actively worked on a Linux project (SLES 7 or 8, IIRC) At that time the eval code was exactly the same as the fully licensed, except you didn't get support or updates.

If you're only running TSM you probably won't be doing much admin, but if you do end up with admin tasks try using Webmin. (http://www.webmin.com/download.html)

At a previous employer we had a guest Linux LPAR that could dual boot either Red Hat or SuSE. All installed from the iSeries (sorry Trevor) image catalogs. No dedicated hardware except disk space.

Found the "gold" code at
http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=-o10NmSCrqA~

We have that running now.

Then we got our CD's. The CD's were for SLESS 10 SP3 and we have SLESS 11 now. The CD's (which we did not use) had a registration card on it. I entered that code on the Novell web site. We are not interested in automatic updates. Manually allows us to ensure that the OS stays compatible with our application (TSM).

There isn't a timebomb or something like WRKLICINF in that download that I need to do, is there?

The consultant is more geared towards TSM than Linux but can get much farther on Linux than I can. He just installed TSM on AIX on Cooper (which is just down the road from us and has a couple of list members) the last few weeks.

I would like to find a download of SUSE Linux 11 (but I'd settle for 10
with SP 2 or later) for my 9408-M25 and my 9117-MMA.
Dedicated lpars on each.
I was supposed to have this shipped to me but there was a miscommunication

along the chain.
The Linux/TSM consultant is here today, and, apparently unlike some of the

fine consultants on this list, traveling with OS disks is not a common
thing.
