I'll have to look at Filezilla, Richard. I've tried using FireFTP (Firefox
add-on) but can't seem to get it configured correctly; i.e., nothing shows
up in the remote (System i) list pane.

Another thought is that you can SAVLICPGM and remove and then RSTLICPGM on
the features after installing, but I would have a good system backup before
doing any of that.

We've also had NetServer issues with our older V5R1 box, but I would guess
you have at least 178 meg tied up into the IFS that could be set free, even
if you used FTP to transfer it.

Check out Filezilla. Good FTP client.

Richard,

All excellent ideas (except the one about losing the RPG compiler, which I
take it as tongue-in-cheek). I had not thought about moving the CA stuff
off to my PC. Unfortunately, our "network" is such a patchwork that I
cannot get NetServer configured to map a network drive. Heck I can't even
connect to printers sitting 5' away for Windows apps! Instead I have to use
a printer in a conference room down the hallway. As you may have surmised,
I'm no admin (much less a Larry B. clone).
