Now here is a thought... Upgrading from a Power6 to Power7 has caused much
work for IBM because of the 3yr HW Warranty that a Power 7 has. Outside the
US, IBM's backend system didn't have much of a problem, but here inthe US
you still can't do a Power6 to Power7 upgrade because of this issue. This is
supposed to be fixed in March od this year. IBM is saying that if you have
a Power6 with a 1yr Warranty and you upgrade to new Power7 they give you the
additional 2yrs of HW Warranty... maybe they are going to fix that by
issuing a new serial number?

Again as Shultz would say... 'I know nothing...'
