Just curious if any of you who have converted from preprinted forms to MICR printing of checks have "rolled your own". If so, what issues did you have and how did you overcome them?

I'd like to get rid of the last of the line printers but don't have a budget to buy software to do this.

MICR toner, check stock, and the DIMM for signature & font are not an issue - probably just the form creation on the fly, etc.

Just wondering what /how you did this without a commercial solution.
