Steve,

During a big spool cleanup that we had in our shop a couple of months ago,
what we did was to convert them to PDF using easy400's CVTSPLSTMF (
WWW.EASY400.NET) and archiving them on user accessible folders, with the
user name as the folder's name.

Our systems are running V5R4, and we are in the planning process for an
upgrade to V7R1.

I have been tasked with determining the best way for us to convert certain
spooled file to PDF files and either posting them to an internal web page
or
emailing them to users.

It is also possible that some of the spooled files will contain double-byte
information.

We have Create!Form, which I know can convert spooled files and email them,
but I know that there are various other ways to do the PDF conversion.

However, I would like to compile and aggregate information about the
various
ways that it can be done, perhaps with pros and cons, and post it on a
midrange wiki page to make this easier for others who might have a similar
requirement in the future.

I am open to all responses, including vendor solutions...

Regards,
Steve
