Simply because it's there. No need to run anything on i when it seemingly can unzip and deploy or run a quick install on just about every other platform. But, I just love to get stuff running on i because I want everything to run there. There could be compelling reasons to run it on Windows or Linux or AIX I guess but I prefer i. Simple as that!
