#1. VMWare runs only on x86 platforms, and creates x86 virtual machines. The same holds true for Sun's Virtual Box, and Microsoft's Virtual PC (which only runs on Windows platforms).

#2. there is no (longer any currently supported) version of Windows that runs on the PowerPC hardware platform.

In theory, you could run Windows under QEMU running on Linux on iSeries, but that may be too slow for real "production" workloads, due to the overhead of emulating the x86 architecture on a different hardware architecture (PowerPC) in software.
