You can use the System i Access Data Transfer portion of the IBM System i Access for Windows (Program Number 5722-XE1).

This will allow you to select any member from any table in any lib (provided you have the appropriate authorities) to a file on your desktop that will not contain the line numbers.

from the AS/400 to a pc but can't recall how I did it. I searched the archives
