I am glad you enjoyed the conference, and also glad we had a chance
to meet on Tuesday night during the Power Down event.
I want to tell a little story now as well. For those of you who
didn't attend, Brian was a very lucky gentlemen. The COMMON Education
Foundation, has a raffle where people buy tickets and the prize money is
split 50% to CEF, and then two lucky winners get 25% each of the proceeds.
Well, Brian won BOTH times, and donated his winnings back to the CEF both
times, to allow the CEF to offer scholarships for college teachers and
students to attend COMMON. This scholarship program is a great way for our
educators to learn about the new features and functions of IBM i, and then
return to their colleges and teach the next generation of IBM i
professionals.
Way to go Brian!!!

I attended my first COMMON this year with other IT managers from our sister
companies - and I definitely will be back! I gathered a ton of good
information, and I found the seminars very helpful. There were a few
presenters that I thought were worth the price of admission alone!
