Nope.

An application screen be defined to support
24x80 only
27x132 only
24x80 and 27x132

DSPSPLF is a good example of an IBM screen that supports 24x80 and 27x132.

When you configure your emulator as 27x132, you're configuring a
preference for 27x132 but if the application doesn't offer that the
emulator drops back to 24x80.

Note: Most my new green screens are 27x132 only. If you do the math,
27x132 provides over 85% more space.

If you don't want the extra work of supporting both sizes and if you
don't have a centralized way to make sure your users sessions are
configured to support 27x132, the I suggest building a program that
checks to see if 27x132 is supported in the user's session. If it is
not, you can display an 24x80 screen with a message telling users how
to change their config and providing a link to more information or a
number for your support department.

Charles

For some reason, I thought that setting changed "everything" to 132 column,

It's a Client Access setting. Click Communication, Configure, and look at
the display size.

I just set up a user with a new PC.  Now she says that in the past her
menus, etc. were 80 column but when she went in to look at reports on the
outq, they were in 132 column format.  Is that possible?

TIA
