Thanks, Crispin. To clarify, X is the Bell Laboratories graphical user
interface on which Windoze was based. (Using a very broad brush, it is the
"Windows" of Unix. It's also sometimes referred to as X-Windows.) An X
Server provides a graphical login to terminals that might connect over the
cloud.

Well, I stopped considering it when I read, under Features, "... the
X11
client must be installed." I am not administrator on the systems
that I
use, so haven't had opportunity to work with this. But I'm fairly
certain
X
client is lacking on the standard i installation.

Brings up an interesting question. Has anyone on this list
successfully
installed and exercised an X server on their System i?
