Hi all,

I have figured out how to debug SQL stored procedures using ISeries Nav - these are not external - they are SQL. However I have not been able to change values while debugging. Is this possible? If not - are there other options for debugging SQL stored procedures?

Back story - RPG has been frozen at our shop - all new programs will be written via stored procedures. So these are not simple return of data sets.

I'm also looking for a good editor and syntax checker. Does WDSC do this? If so - are there any tutorials available. I've only used it on a limited basis and only for RPG.

Thanks.
Vicki

Also to do an eval and see a string in iSeries Nav is it really necessary to type something like -
*ARC.VARIABLE.DAT:*F

This was the only way I could see a variable on the console without rooting through the locals pane.
