In general, each unit is an arm. There are exceptions to this rule. In
6.1 and above, running on Power 6 hardware and above, you can have
"guested" partitions. And if lpar "A" has 40 disks and hosts lpar "B"
then WRKDSKSTS on "B" may show one disk of a really odd size (love
watching the CE scratch his head on that!). But the data on "B" is spread
out on all the disk arms that "A" is using (at least for that ASP).
