Rob,

Depending on the parameters of the SAVCHGOBJ both a cumulative or an incremental could be true.

A cumulative will save any changed object each time the command is run until a new full save. An incremental only saves objects that have changed since the last save operation of any kind (that updates history).

The biggest differences are in how the recovery plan is set up. In my view it does not matter which type of save you use, as long as the recovery plan is supported by the save operations.

I am getting that I was ignorant on the SAVCHGOBJ. I thought that once
something was saved with it then it wouldn't be saved again until it
changed again. Now I realize that it's cumulative since the last library
save.
