Subject: Auditing of need of report

New CEO this week. Get company wide email on how we have paralysis by
analysis of too many reports. Wants a copy of every report sent to the
office manager. So I quickly forward on a couple of dozen emails I get,
adding one line of text "as per CEO's request". If the email was sent to
other people along with me I cc them so they don't forward the item on
also.

Get a WTF sametime from coworker.

Get a department wide email from boss (VP of IS) to not forward on system
generated reports at this time.

Apparently I'm a shining example of worst case scenario.

I didn't think the concern was only with the time wasted generating the
report. I thought it was also with the time wasted consuming the report.
Most of these emails are automatic. Stuff like "Tivoli Storage Manager
used these tapes last night" to "Domino server XYZ rebooted itself last
night" to "You have these tasks assigned to you and you haven't acted on
them in a coon's age".
