I did try to look them up, Rob. Found the EDT0630 message, but SQL6789 returned " Message identifier SQL6789 not found in message file QSQLMSG in QSYS." I'm on 5.4. Is this a new one with 6.1?

Vern,

If you don't know the message text one can often do a DSPMSGD, like these:
DSPMSGD RANGE(EDT0630) MSGF(QPDA/QEDTMSG)
Have you tried the modern alternative to SEU? Press F1 for more details.
DSPMSGD RANGE(SQL6789) MSGF(QSQLMSG)
Have you considered using System i Navigator's Run SQL Scripts instead of
STRSQL.

Here's another reference to EDT0630

Didn't say so much at first. Wanted to see who noticed it.
