RE: CLASSPATH longer than 1024 characters causes ADDENVVAR to fail

Another solution *might* be similar to this:

Set environment variables thusly:

PTH1=/path1:/path2:/path3...
PTH2=/path41:/path42:...
PTH3=...
CLASSPATH=${PTH1}:${PTH2}:{$PTH3}

Note that I have not tried this with ADDENVVAR. I have done this in

I can confirm (sorry) that this will not work. Once this is set, $PTH1 -
$PTH3 will all be set as planned, and CLASSPATH will have this exact value:
${PTH1}:${PTH2}:${PTH3}
