I know this has been discussed at length. ÂI received a request this morning to send/receive data using either FTPS or HTTPS. ÂThis would be a daily process. ÂI really don't want to have to do this manually. ÂThey also feel that this is something that can be done in two weeks.

It's something that can be done in minutes if you know what you're doing.

I would prefer to use sFTP, as I am doing that now. ÂBut, that does not appear to be an option.

FTPS is built into the IBM i, and the same to use as plain FTP, except
you'll need to make sure all the certificate stuff is cleared. The IBM
i doesn't work with self-signed certificates, so you should insist on
an official, CA signed certificate.

Is there a redbook detailing how to set up FTPs properly? ÂI have read references over the past few months about certificates, but have no experience with this.

I don't think you need a redbook for that.

A few years ago, i wrote a step-by-step guide about this.
