James,

From IBM's DBMAG online magazine:

CREATE INDEX STARTEST.BIGREVENUE ON STARTEST.ITEM_FACT (SUPPKEY ASC,
QUANTITY * EXTENDEDPRICE ASC)
WHERE QUANTITY * EXTENDEDPRICE > 100000
RCDFMT BSUPPREV ADD QUANTITY, EXTENDEDPRICE, REVENUE_WO_TAX, REVENUE_W_TAX;

Yes, maybe it is not "pure" SQL but it can make life easier for migrating
old DDS LFs.

When I wrote about my coworkers's programs I meant RPGLE programs. I have
read some views using CLP. I don't why it should be different for MI
programs, though.

IIRC, you can specify a record format for an index with V6R1.

Also, How are you doing the RLA of your view? Could you give us an
example?

From MI.

About as much of the code as I can give is posted with the
separate-but-related problem I put on the MI list.

I'm trying to arrange to see what an RPG program does with the view (at
the moment, I have no access to the box whereon this is happening).

And if it is possible to specify a format (a format, or just a format
name?) for an index, that's news to me, and while welcome, it also
sounds like something completely foreign to SQL being grafted onto it.
