I tried this but it completely stomps over the original override.

I think the OVRSCOPE(*JOB) is what's biting this process in the GM. Unfortunately I may not have much choice - the original override requires it.

Try it with SECURE(*YES) on this override. That should keep the job
level override (or any higher override) from overridding the copies.
