I am keen to see it too, Simon.

Richard's does work - I can vouch for that
(THANKS, RICHARD!) - but if I can avoid duplication of panels I think it
would be advantageous to do so.

Yep, not necessary to do that--however without Ed Fishel's reminder I'm not sure I would have recalled the method quite so easily.

In my case, there are three options
combinations involved, so I can see that maintenance could be slightly
cumbersome. The bigger issue, though, is what to do when someone wants to
insert a new option, and say it needs to go on the first list.

You'll need to reassign the conditions such that the new option is conditioned for row 1 and (possibly) an existing row 1 option will need to have a different condition to move it to another row.

Although this is more work than letting UIM sort things out, by using condition variables to control the view of the option list you're already interfering with things. Any such change to the option list can be done entirely with the UIM source unless you need an additional row of options in which case you'll either need to expand MAXACTL or add a new condition and update the truth table. Not really a lot of work and in many cases the result is nicer looking than multiple lines of options. Two lines seems OK to me but three starts to look icky (usability term for less than desirable).

Simon Coulter.
