There's no reason FTP won't work. If the file exists on the iSeries, and if
you're specifying the correct file and member in the FTP statement, you
should be able to do that. Post a DSPFD of the file (showing the top of the
listing that shows the library and file and the bottom of the listing that
shows the record count) and the FTP subcommand where you do the get.

If you're not able to get it with FTP or a file transfer from iSeries
Access, I would think configuring Netserver (SMB) or NFS would be out of the
question.
