You can set stuff in SystemDefault.properties, sure... but that's a
Java property, not an environment variable.

The OP had copy/pasted a job log message that specifically referred to
an environment variable.

I guess it's worth checking SystemDefault.properties (in your home
directory as well as the system-wide one) but it doesn't sound like
that's what his message was referring to.

Maybe I misread. The subject implies one thing; the text implies another.
A helpful hint to the OP: That message is apparently (obviously?) an
extract from an error message from the job log. It's always helpful to
reproduce the message ID along with the message, rather than focusing on
some piece of the error message. Often the first-level-text makes the
actual problem obvious, and the "cause" is not always right.
