Do any of you folks know why code posted at code.midrange.com often
(usually? always) has alignment problems? More to the real question:
when
I post code there, is there anything I can do to influence that so it
doesn't happen, or it happens less frequently?

Can you show me an example?

Sure. http://code.midrange.com/315d1ba179.html was posted by copy from
plain text editor and paste into provided web page. On the text editor,
everything lined up well. But if you look, for example, around line 80 of
that article, you will see the issue.
