Dennis, that's rather annoying. You're not OBLIGED to reply
to every
thread on midrange. If you haven't the answer just don't bother.

Also annoying is the practice of using a list like this as a
primary source of research. When I did a quick search of
archive.midrange.com (yes, I did) before writing my response,
I found several promising hits. I will admit that I did not
read every one, but I wasn't the one asking the question.

I looked too, but didn't find what I was looking for. I never get annoyed even by people posting even the simplest of questions and I enjoy it often when someone brings up a subject that has already been debated and needs revision.

I'd like to take advantage of this post to say that this thread has become fascinating and how much I appreciate everyone's input.
