We need to add internal disk to our present 570 ( 4-8 way) system but we
have reached the maximum limit of HSL Loops

All our internal disk were initially on RAID-5 before we moved to mirrored
Solution.

We currently have cache auxiliary cards that work along with the DASD
controllers to back up cache in the event of a DASD controller IOA failure.

I Think this additional protection is not required in a mirrored
environment.

As I understand that in a mirrored environment the data would be protected
on the mirrored controller.

If we removed the auxiliary cards that are not needed, it may be possible to
free up some additional card slots for the required 571F/575B.

Is Removing Auxiliary cache a good solution in this mirrored environment ?

Is there any other Options to add internal disk ??

Thanks in advance
