I did do what rob suggested via the link he provided, at the end it wanted a
valid IBM customer number etc. It stated up to 90 days(not sure what that
means). I will do this one as well.

You might consider entering this as a requirement - you can do this at
the COMMON website http://www.common.org

You don't have to be a member of COMMON, but you will need to set up a
user and password there. Or you can use iSociety at
http://www.isociety.org or http://isociety.common.org

On the isociety page, click on "my isociety home page" - once there,
click on the "ibm i requirements" link near the top, then log in, then
click on "add new requirement" - process is similar on the COMMON site,
except you click on "Members Only", then "Requirements". Although it
says members only, this isn't true for the requirements link.

It's free, and IBM does listen. In fact, there are plans for a session
on requirements and the COMMON America Advisory Council.

Vern

I am curious if IBM would consider coming out with a web based interface
for
Lan Console, maybe integrate it within IVM and migrate it out of ISERIES
Access. If you get a new machine it might make it easiear to use a
browser
in place of having to install software in order to setup the machine
initially ouf of the box.
