Glad you're on your way. They've done a lot of enhancing SNDPTFORD over
the years. I use it and the web interchangeably. For a hands off update
for someone who IPL's their machine automatically once a week I wrote a
little CL program with the cool special options in it like
*CUMPKG
*HIPERGRP
*DB2GRP
*BRSGRP
*JVAGRP
*HTTPGRP
*PFRGRP
And SNDPTFORD can be told to just get the ptf's from those which you do
not already have. That will significantly reduce your download time.
Pete, you might want to make sure you refer people to the latest APAR. I
don't think you originally recommended SI35849. That's spelled out in the
info apar for the 6.1.1 virtual image install.
