as others have stated, the cursor should be in the window to be active.

Do you use RTNCSRLOC keyword? That makes it easier to debug, as it will
return the record format in which the cursor was in.

Cursor is not restricted to the window.

my problem is that I can not roll any subfiles other thern the 1st one.

I understand that the problem somewhere in the code. It is the way I
display
them, but how can I display 2 exfmt at once?
