The 650W power supply in my 9406-620 died this morning. This is the power
supply in the bottom of the right-hand side of the unit. The only things
that are installed in this side are the planar board, a PCI IOP, and two
cards I'm never going to use.

Can the planar board in the expansion be disconnected from the MFIOP? If so,
is it going to ask me for a system password because the hardware has
changed? I really don't want to throw any more money at this thing - I was
able to use it for two whole days before the PSU blew up. I'd consider
buying a new power supply if I knew for certain that I could just plug it in
and go. But since that side of the unit is unused anyway, I was hoping I
could just 'disconnect' it.

Thanks
